Volunteer Community Connections was happy to participate in Make A Difference Day on Oct. 26, 2013 with numerous ways for the community to get involved and help others. Stay tuned for more 2013 details.
Sponsored by USA WEEKEND Magazine in partnership with HandsOn Network, Make A Difference Day is the nation’s largest day of doing good. For nearly two decades, Make A Difference Day has consistently called millions to action to feed, clothe and house their neighbors.
There are many ways to participate in this fun day of doing good, either by joining opportunities already being planned or by organizing an activity of your own and registering.

Brush Up Sarasota–painting the exterior of homes for citizens of Sarasota who need assistance. How can you help? We need: paint, paint cups and rollers. Interested in sponsoring the coffee break? Contact Mindi Rohan at mindi@vccflorida.org or call 941-953-5965.
Children's Academy at Truvine Baptist Church–painting interior and exterior of Children's Academy. Materials needed for this project: paint, supplies including rollers and brushes.
